Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov in an interview with the newspaper “News” on the state of Russian-American relations after the conversation between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden.
According to him, Russia sees no progress in relations with the United States, other than launching structured dialogues on weapons and cybersecurity.
Ryabkov noted that the lack of improvements in the work of the diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation and the United States could lead to a situation where they could no longer function. The diplomat recalled that Russia had long proposed to the United States that the restrictions on the work of diplomatic missions be zeroed out.
“Instead, new demands and ultimatums are being put forward. Among them, the most controversial is the demand that the United States leave the employees of our diplomatic institutions who have been in the United States for more than three years. Why on earth is more than three years – why not four or five? “, – Ryabkov said.
He replies that Russia will respond in a mirror image if the situation in this area does not improve.
Formerly the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova statedthat Western countries continue to militarize Ukraine, supplying this country with weapons and militants.
