Toulouse Vaccinodrome: Pfizer or Moderna? “I have no preference”
Three quarters of the injections at the vaccinodrome are made with Moderna, which, for the vast majority of people who come to be vaccinated, does not pose a problem.
“I’ve been to the vaccinodrome three times now. And it’s going well. I’ve always had Moderna and that’s fine with me. I have no preference. “Like several people from Toulouse that we met yesterday morning at the Toulouse vaccinodrome, reopened since Thursday in hall 8 on the Ile du Ramier, Isabelle, 58, does not have any questions about the choice of vaccine, especially on Moderna which has some concerns. At the vaccinodrome, it is this vaccine that is mainly offered, the Pfizer being reserved for those under 30 years of age.
“I have no problem with the choice of vaccine. I don’t care, ”says Lucile, 57 years old. For her, what was a quick vaccination. “I take public transport. I am in contact with many young people and my children. “The vaccinodrome is” as usual. We get a taste for it! “Laughs Jean-Marie, 38, who has no reservations about Moderna either. “This is the vaccine that I had already had. “Arnaud, 35, notes that he had been informed of the choice of vaccine on the SMS confirming his appointment.
Same efficiency
24-year-old Kevin was spontaneously offered the Pfizer. This is what he wanted and what he asked for after hearing about the side effects seen in young people. Jean-Paul, 71, who came without an appointment, was asked to wait for the revolutionary five months after the double injection. He leaves without a third dose. And admit, because of health problems, a “preference” for Pzifer with the idea of turning now to a pharmacy.
“Pfizer and Moderna have the same efficiency. This is even slightly higher for Moderna, ”underlines Thierry Cardouat, departmental director of the Regional Health Agency, which recalls an opinion of November 8 from the High Authority for Health. At the vaccinodrome, if the Pfizer is reserved for at least 30 years, it is by application of the “principle of caution” because of myocarditis observed in several young people. “Very few people refuse Moderna,” he observes, recalling in passing that there are enough vaccines for the entire Haut-Garonnaise population who wish to be vaccinated.
Thursday, when the vaccinodrome reopened, there were 1,616 injections of Moderna and 611 of Pfizer, according to François Chollet, municipal councilor delegated to the Capitol. That is to say 2,227 injections which correspond to the objective set before a ramp-up in one week.
