PICTURE: Half time was not enough to win. The handball players of Nový Veselí succumbed to Dukla

Sugar Mizzy December 11, 2021

If Saturday’s duel had only half a portion of the minutes instead of the traditional sixty, no one would be angry in Nový Veselí. The introductory action of the Sokol handball players was excellent.

From the opening seconds, the home team had the upper hand, which could not be reflected in the match score. Coach Peter Kostka’s charges gradually developed a solid three-goal lead, with which they also went on a half-time break – 14:11.

Autumn confirmation of won positions. The footballers of Nová Ves are once again losing popularity

However, the entry into the second story was presented in absolute terms by the team from Vysočina, as stated in the first half.

On the other hand, the Dukla handball players ran to the board as an exchange and in just two minutes from the beginning of the second half they managed to equalize the current situation with three goals.

The Slovak helmsman of Nový Veselí took a break, but even that did not help the turnaround. The Prague team was in laufu and bet one goal after another in the home gates. Less than ten minutes before the end, when Šůstek increased the lead of the guests to 25:21, it seemed to be a final decision.

To the honor of the players of Nový Veselí, however, it must be added that the unfavorable development did not break them and they still managed to return to the game. Twice in the score they managed only the difference of two goals, but the visiting team did not allow them more.

Pelhřimov football players (in white jerseys) will go to the spring part of the season with a new coach on the bench. The dismissed Pavel Regásek should be replaced by Richard Zeman.

Former Pelhřimov coach Regásek: Every team would have had so many losses

On the contrary, the guests managed to increase their lead again in the final seconds and did not admit any drama. Possible speculations that the week-old inclusion in the European Cup could negatively affect the players of the Prague team, so they will not confirm it in any case.

Even before the loss of 25:29, Nové Veselí continues to hold on to a solid fifth place in the table. However, coach Peter Kostka’s charges cannot be knocked down for a long time. Already tomorrow, again in the home ZDT Arena, the 12th round of the 12th round against the championship Pilsen is waiting from the evening of 7.30 pm.
