The traditional business card is far from out of fashion. The proof, with the young Toulouse-based Wemet, which launches a connected business card. It has already won over 700 companies.
In the digital age, it was believed to be outdated and outdated. Yet she resists and reinvents herself. Example with a business card 2.0 designed in Toulouse.
“During my previous professional experiences, I had to travel very often to trade fairs. I can no longer count the number of times I forgot my business cards or even the time to find a contact among the hundreds of past cards (…). So I asked myself how to reinvent the experience of professional meetings? And above all, how to facilitate the exchange of contacts by using the object that we all have on us: our smartphone? »Says Samuel Dassa, co-founder of Wemet.
From this observation was born the WeCard, a physical and connected business card.
“It is a unique card which is intended to replace the others! “ he specifies.
Concretely, it is about a classic map containing coordinates. During the professional exchange, the user brings his WeCard near a smartphone and a contact card is generated in a few seconds. The transaction does not require any application.
It is the first connected business card on the market in France, which uses NFC (contactless) technology and the QR Code.

Entirely customizable and manufactured in the premises of Toulouse, this unique card is an alternative to paper. Its user can exchange contact details up to 100,000 times.
In the world each year, 10 billion business cards are produced and of these, 80% are thrown in the trash just a week after they are made.

Despite its communication, Wemet is not the first to enter this market. In 2014, the Toulouse residents of Ubleam had invented a similar card working with a connected logo. But the young pushes to change strategy, for lack of customers. The young shoot Wemet, she seems to have found the right recipe.
“The difference with Ubleam is that our system now works with all phones, either via NFC or via a QR Code.“adds Samuel Dassa.
Launched declared in September 2021, Wemet has attracted 700 companies all over France. Among them, Pierre Fabre, Vinci Autoroute and Total.
Since launch, we have created over 4000 WeCards. The demands are varied and our solutions can respond to all types of structures: freelancers, printers who digitize their offer, companies committed to a CSR approach, communication agencies, etc.
