Through Adrien filoche
What he wants is to get out, finally. After several months spent living on the streets, at Rouen (Seine-Maritime), enduring cold, hunger and isolation, Dylan has recently regained confidence. He hopes to find a way out.
Recently, the life of this 21-year-old man who found himself on the street following a death in his family, took a much more positive turn, especially after the publication of an article with our colleagues in France Bleu Normandie. Then everything went very quickly. The magic of social networks made it possible and a real surge of solidarity was set in motion to help him.
Accommodation offers… in Marseille!
“I received a lot of proposals and especially messages of support,” he says with a smile. There are even people from Marseille and Aix-en-Provence who have offered me accommodation. »Proof that Dylan’s testimony moved beyond the borders of Normandy. “It’s very nice! He adds.
Deep down, I was starting to lose hope, but there are really benevolent people!
Since Saturday, December 4, Dylan has even found accommodation in Le Havre, with a charitable soul who prefers to remain anonymous. “She invited me to her home, without asking for financial compensation. I am enormously grateful. This crucial step will allow him to bounce back. He hopes so with all his might.
To find a job
In training at the local mission in Rouen, Dylan has until now had insufficient remuneration to be able to afford an apartment in which to live decently. Confident and motivated, he now wants to find a job and get by on his own.
For a few days, he has been doing job interviews between Rouen and Le Havre, in the hope that an application will lead to a position. Originally from Lille and passed through Rouen as part of his studies, the young man is mainly researching in the sales sector. “I am ready to make the round trip by train every day,” insists the one who does not have a driving license.
The other side of the coin, the favorable economic situation that it crosses a threshold of jealousy on the part of some. “I received jets of projectiles and bottles a few days ago in the middle of the street. There is jealousy on the part of those who see that I am out of it, ”confides the young man. But not enough to undermine his morale: “I only think about the positive, of finding work and getting out of it. ”
