Karim Adeyemi will stay with FC Salzburg beyond the winter.
“Yes, definitely”, replied the 19-year-old German when asked by “Sky” reporter Marko Stankovic whether he would play the first Champions League round of 16 in the club’s history with the “Bulls”.
Adeyemi was recently associated with numerous top clubs, from Borussia Dortmund to FC Barcelona, Real Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern, every top European club was there.
The media hype is also reflected in the striker’s performance, his last competitive goal is now over a month ago. Even in the decisive 1-0 win over Sevilla FC in the “premier class” (match report >>>) the left-footer could not write – which in the end was completely irrelevant because Adeyemi provided the fantastic assist to the gold goal by Noah Okafor and ultimately also took out another yellow-red card against Joan Jordan.
“I am overjoyed to be able to progress here with such a team. I am overjoyed that we are in the round of 16 and I’m looking forward to the celebration. We as a team did it and not the individual made history. I’m here at Salzburg and wanted to achieve exactly that with this team, “said the native of Munich.
