Concluded the course for Executives and Managers of the Enlarged Public Sector on “Performance Evaluation”
The Directorate General of the Public Function announces the conclusion of the course on “Performance Evaluation” organized with the collaboration of the University of the Republic of San Marino and the support of the San Marino national section of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences. The course, divided into several meetings with teachers from Italian universities and public and private managers, saw the participation of about fifty Executives and Managers of the Public Sector, thus called to reflect on the role played and how to make their daily action more effective , through the analysis of projects, organizations, and the reflections of the daily activities carried out within their role. At the basis of this type of update, according to the approach given by this General Management, there is the need for an effective, logical condition when management action in the Public Administration, the attempt often hindered by problems of different nature, accentuated, an attempt is made to uncritically transfer managerial experiences and best practices from the context of private companies to the public sector. Precisely for this reason, training initiatives are necessary that accept top management roles to understand the managerial role in performance evaluation, in the light of the specificities of public organizations. Thus continues the collaboration undertaken between the University and the General Direction of the Public Function, already implemented in the past for other initiatives carried out with a view to a territorial system in continuous improvement through an ever deeper qualification of the Enlarged Public Sector, for a constant improvement of those involved in the management of ‘public affairs’ and an increase in efficiency. It should be emphasized that in this case there was also the support of the San Marino Section of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IISA), an association formed by managers, officials of the Public Administration and scholars of the sector, born in the early nineties and associated with the Institut International des Sciences Administratieves (IIAS) to which the State of San Marino joined in 1953. of IISA is the objective of the development of projects and initiatives aimed at favoring the study, processing and dissemination of works, studies, research and experiences aimed at improving the knowledge and practice of the administration, with the theme of the managerial role at the center and the improvement of public services.
