Another P + R parking is being prepared around Prague. Where are the preparations furthest?
“We are trying to bring the concepts that have arisen to life – and we are negotiating with cities, lands and the Railway Authority,” he said. Specifying that the region has already started preparatory and design work for the construction of P + R Hostivice, Olbramovice, work is underway on the Dubenec car park and preparations for future constructions in Úvaly have also reached “relatively far”. However, there are more upcoming events.
In the mentioned localities, it is expected that the region should build a car park (often the activity of the cities themselves is in this area), however, according to the Borecký Governor’s Office, it is now also cooperating with the Railway Administration and the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure.
An urgent repair in Černý Most will also slow down a driver from Central Bohemia
“But they are the regional P + Rka, so primarily the region,” he specified who will play the main role. He also reminded with one breath in cooperation with the town halls, because, as the councilor pointed out, there is no point in distinguishing between the activities of the region and cities. “I see it as one transport unit,” he added.
With significant access routes to Prague, the Central Bohemian Governor’s Office plans to build more than a thousand parking spaces in the foreseeable future. For example, at the railway station in Olbramovice in the Benešov region, a car park with a proposed capacity of 180 cars is being prepared, which should serve not only people from the surrounding area, but mainly from the Votice region – also and the Sedlčany region in the Příbram district.
The Úval car park in Prague-East should have 260 places. In the town of Hostivice in Prague-west, a parking house with a capacity of 480 places should be built next to the railway station – and this is where the region’s cooperation with the Railway Administration is most pronounced. It is also planned to build a parking lot with a capacity of 248 cars at the Pyšely railway stations in the Benešov region.
The metropolis also offers new places
Parking directly on the territory of the capital is also crucial for Central Bohemia. In this regard, it is worth recalling two innovations. A week ago, a new car park with a capacity of 886 places was opened in Černý Most near the metro, where all-day parking costs CZK 50 (and the night then costs 100). There are also eight places designed for charging electric cars or parking spaces reserved for gas-powered cars – both LPG and CNG.
New parking house in Nové Butovice. Half will be for locals, half for cross-country
On Tuesday, December 7, the construction of another parking house began in the capital, in Nové Butovice. The construction, scheduled for completion in spring 2023, is to have seats for 379 cars. The capacity of the Half with its own entrance and exit will be reserved for local motorists, the other half will then be reserved for commuters.
In total, there are now two dozen intercepting car parks in the metropolis with different locations and prices for parking. Four seats require a hundred, nine crowns for a day – and seven unguards will offer 12 hours of free parking.
