Mountains in Friuli Venezia Giulia: where can you ski from today?
08.12.2021 – 07.30 – After twenty months off, skiing is back in Friuli Venezia Giulia: after the official opening of the winter season last Saturday, from tomorrow other lifts will open in the six ski areas of the region.
A Sappada the pitches and the black run will be open, the two ski lifts and the Eiben Col dei Mughi chairlift will be in operation, while whoever chooses Piancavallo you can use the carpets for the school field (Daini, Bambi, Genzianella, Busa), in addition to the Tremol 1 chairlift, the Sole chairlift and the Casere chairlift, and you can use it on the Casere, Casere 3, Busa grande, Caprioli 3, Nazionale Bassa slopes.
A Forni di Sopra you can ski in the two Davost pitches: the carpet will remain open until 12 December, while chairlifts and Varmost slopes 1 and 2 will remain open only on the weekend (11 and 12) and then on stand by until 18 December.
After the inauguration of the “Giro d’Italia” chairlift last Saturday – it will take a few more days to use the new lift – in the background Zoncolan from tomorrow the slopes 3 and 4, the Valvan, Cuel d’Ajar chairlifts (only 8, then closed), the Ravascletto cable car, the Lausc and Cima Zoncolan carpets are available.
On the Julian Alps, a Tarvisio, you can ski on the upper part of the di Prampero (up to the intermediate station) and in the school fields, the gondola lift, the Tschopfen chairlift and three carpets (Valley 1, 2 and school field) are open. The Lussari cable car will always remain accessible to pedestrians, but for skiers it will be possible to use it on the 8th with a break between 9 and 10 – for the artificial snow on the slopes – and then resume regular service also for lovers of descents on Saturday 11.
Sella Nevea kicked off the season last Saturday and, in addition to what was already open (gondola, cable car, Gilberti chairlift and Campo Scuola carpet) from tomorrow we will ski down to the valley with the opening of the Tourist slope. Due to the epidemiological situation and for greater protection of the health of skiers, this year it will not be possible to buy the single ticket that allows you to ski in Sella and Bovec, therefore the ski passes issued will allow you to ski only on one of the two sides, Italian or Slovenian. Those who want to ski on both fronts can still purchase the tickets separately, on the PromoTurismoFVG website it is possible to buy the ticket online, whether it is a day, multi-day or seasonal ticket.
Until January 15, 2022, the guidelines that allow you to ski in the white and yellow areas by accessing the slopes with green pass if you use the closed lifts (cable cars, cable cars, lowered dome chairlifts, covered carpets), while in the orange area it will be possible to use all the lifts only with a reinforced green pass. You can ski green pass only using open ski lifts.
