Marseilles. A solidarity fundraising organized for the most disadvantaged at La Canebière – Marseille – Social

Solidarity is growing in Marseille as the end of year celebrations approach. While the figures are not consolidated, it is estimated that nearly 14,000 people live on the streets in the Marseille city..
From December 4, and until December 22, an ephemeral collection is organized at 42, la Canebière by the City of Marseille. Several associations benefit, such as the Secours Populaire, the Restos du Coeur or even the Adoma homes. Marseillaises and Marseillaises can deposit there toys that are clean and in good condition, for destitute children. The toys are collected by the UNIS-CITE association, around twenty young volunteers or in civic service collect them and then redistribute them.
Marseillaises and Marseillaises can also drop off gift boxes for homeless people. Warm clothes, cakes, accessories for animals, little words of attention … All donations are welcome. The merchants of the city center are also associated with the operation. They have already donated nearly 100 boxes.
The venue is open on Wednesdays, December 8, 15 and 22 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, December 4, 11 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
