VILLENEUVE-LEZ-AVIGNON The Aux Poneys de Delphine micro-farm, a peaceful place in the Abbey plain
From Saturday 18 to Thursday 23 December, Maison Bronzini celebrates Christmas in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon. On the program for your little ones: creative workshops, baking, storytelling, shows, photos with Santa Claus …
The frames of the Abbey plain micro-farm are lapped in exercise. All year round, parents can accompany their children on a pony ride on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon. The volunteers will be delighted to lend you Apple, Rustine, Oscar or G’Spirit for a tour of the green lungs of Villeneuve. “We really wanted to create a place of serenity. A moment of well-being where we can take a break», Assures Anne Daniel.
With Delphine Guenault, they set up another association which joined the micro-farm in 2018: the Li-Anne. The six ponies were joined by three donkeys. “Children with disabilities came to “Aux ponies de Delphine” to tell us about their difficulties in finding an activity, a hobby. (…) We decided to offer them a secure space where they could evolve at their own pace. We reflected on which animals we work with and our choice fell on donkeys: these calm, placid animals, which come easily in contact.», Explains Anne Daniel.
Learn to better manage your emotions in contact with donkeys
In addition to their donkey riding diploma, Anne, Delphine, Nathalie and Fatima also took a diploma asino-mediator this summer through the UNAP (National Union of pluriactive donkey workers). Children react differently to these big-eared equines: “Asino-mediation uses the proximity of the donkey to a person, a child suffering from stress, lack of self-confidence or mental or physical disorders to appease. This approach also offers the possibility of finding certain lost or buried emotions, of daring to express them while learning to better manage and / or control them …“
Over the years, the association has broadened its range of activities. One Wednesday per month, children can participate in a workshop to reconnect with nature inspired by “Forest schools” (reservations at 06 86 48 16 24). You can also visit the mini-farm where only animals live: pigs, rabbits, goats … As Christmas approaches, several activities are also offered this Wednesday, December 8, where a 10am candle-making workshop is organized. at noon (reservation 06 69 62 84 89). There will even be Santa Claus! In short, there are plenty of possibilities in this little haven of peace that volunteers are always looking to improve. And for that, they need donors or sponsors, like Orpi.
