The collection points in Prague may be expanding, and they are still managing the interest in testing. Vaccination centers will also be added
The capacity of sampling points in Prague should be up to 60,000 tests per day, according to the Prague testing and vaccination coordinator Martin Ježek, that is enough. However, it is not only about the capacity of sampling points, but also about laboratories. There are 36 of them and they will evaluate about 48,000 tests a day. “It is being tested, I would say that it is roughly the same now, the capacity corresponds to that interest. We are able to handle the interest in testing, “says Ježek.
According to the Ministry of Health, it is then a total of 53 seats in central Bohemia. And there the situation is a little worse, somewhere, due to lack of deadlines, applicants have to wait for testing until next week.
But the test sites in Prague should manage the pre-Christmas time. This is despite the fact that some of them will reduce traffic during the holidays. According to Martin Ježek, there is no need to significantly increase their number now.
Vaccination centers
But where the capacity will increase is vaccination. The most current is now the Metropolitan Center in Vyšehrad. The congress center has promised to increase seats from next week to spring capacity – a maximum of two and a half thousand vaccinated daily. “A vaccination center in OD Kotva is to be launched under the auspices of the General University Hospital, and a vaccination center has opened in the Černý Most Center. We are strengthening capacity in these existing vaccination sites. “
Prague also has plenty of vaccination doses. This is also confirmed by the data processed by CTU. The wait for the reservation is really short in the capital, about one day.
