Second place for the City of Pisa Racing Team in the Rally della Fettunta – Sport
Pisa, 7 December 2021 – One of the classic end-of-season rally events, the Rally della Fettunta, saw among the protagonists the young duo of the Squadra Corse Città di Pisa asd composed of Matteo Fichi and Lorenzo Fratta who took an excellent second position among the Under 25s and a satisfying fifth place in the class which, given the number of those present and the minimum gaps that have occurred say a lot about the value shown in the competition field.
A difficult and exciting rally for Matteo Fichi who had the goal of the season with a good result: “Yes, in fact my goal was to see the arrival stage of a race among the most heartfelt among the fans of generations different”. Matteo Fichi makes his debut and continues: “The race was very difficult and selective, plus we had a problem with a gasoline connection that broke and that forced the assistance to do extraordinary work and managed to replace it and get us started again. for the rally. I take this opportunity to thank all the assistance components and my navigator Lorenzo Fratta with whom I shared this experience. The season has been fruitful, now we can think about the 2022 season, next year’s calendars will come out in a few days and therefore we will make a program, we will try to capitalize on the experience made this year “.
So a satisfying season for Matteo Fichi who has repeatedly taken the podium in the Under 25 as well as in his own class with the Peugeot 106 Rallye set up by himself and by his father Fabio. In the meantime, the Squadra Corse Città di Pisa asd in addition to being present with some of its conductors both at the Rally del Brunello and at the last seasonal appointment scheduled for next 18/19 December with the 30th Rally Il Ciocchetto is preparing the annual social award ceremony which has been set for Sunday 9 January 2022 where the programs for the next season will be quickened, which includes the return of the Co-Pilots Course, the organization of a Ginkana and a Rally.
