Russia and China signed a roadmap for satellite navigation – Cosmos
MOSCOW, December 7. / TASS /. Roscosmos and the Commission on the Chinese Satellite Navigation System have approved a roadmap for cooperation in the field of satellite navigation for 2021-2025. This was reported on Tuesday at Roscosmos.
“The document was signed by Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation, and He Yubin, Head of the Commission,” website Roscosmos.
It is noted that the roadmap includes plans for the integrated and innovative development of the GLONASS and Beidou systems, increasing their compatibility and complementarity, and the mutual placement of ground measuring stations in China and Russia.
The state corporation clarified that the document contains plans for monitoring and characteristics of global navigation satellite systems, as well as for the joint use of navigation technologies in the interests of the socio-economic development of Russia and China.
Roscosmos stressed that the signed document is important for the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation on satellite navigation, as well as for the promotion of GLONASS technologies on the international market.
