Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – After his escape from psychiatry and attacks on a fellow patient and a passer-by, a 26-year-old has to answer in court. Today (9:30 a.m.) the trial of two attempted manslaughter begins before the Frankfurt Regional Court. In May of this year, according to the public prosecutor’s office, the man choked a fellow patient on the neck in a psychiatric hospital in Bad Soden (Main-Taunus district). After threatening a nurse, he managed to escape. A short time later, the man choked a completely uninvolved passerby on the S-Bahn platform in Frankfurt-Rödelheim.
The jury chamber has initially scheduled four trial days until mid-December. (File number 3290 Js 224593/21). According to the prosecutor’s office, the alleged perpetrator is facing permanent placement in a clinic.
