It is the most expensive, but not the fastest PCR test at Zurich Airport. In the Corona Test Center II Diamisanto, Terminal 1 (public area on arrival 1), the PCR test costs 336 francs. The Diamisanto company promises that the result will be available in a maximum of one hour. Anyone who needs the result in a maximum of five hours pays 236 francs.
There are numerous PCR test providers at the airport. Ender Diagnostics also plays in the most expensive league. On behalf of the company based in Bern, the security company Checkport operates several Covid test centers at the airport. New on offer: a PCR test, the result of which is available in a maximum of 45 minutes. The so-called “Plantinum” service has its price: 299 francs! “This makes this one of the most expensive PCR tests in Switzerland”, it says in a report of the CH-Media-Zeitung.
PCR budget test costs 99 francs
Checkport owner Swissport justifies the price with high laboratory investments. According to the company, the evaluation devices alone cost CHF 3 million. In addition, the PRC rapid test “Platinum” is only intended for emergencies.
Viselio is offering the next test at the airport for 99 francs. “See you later the next day at 4 p.m. by email and SMS” is the result, it says on the website of Zurich Airport.
