This Tuesday, December 7, the educational community of the lycée Doisneau, in Vaulx-en-Velin, planned to gather in front of the establishment to protest against the expulsion of two of its students, under the influence of an obligation to leave the French territory.
For several weeks, members of the educational community of the Lycée Doisneau have been sending everything to alert on the threat of expulsion from French territory of two young people from the establishment. Several actions were thus carried out in order to support a “request for a free appeal to the prefect“, explain in a statement the organizers of a rally which is to take place this Tuesday, December 7, at 5 pm, in front of the school.
A petition and 19,000 signatures
With the mobilization of trade unions, parents of students and teachers, they hope to be heard to allow these two students to continue their education at Lycée Doisneau, where they are “in a remarkable trajectory of success and it would be incomprehensible that one prevents from remaining on the territory to finish brilliantly engaged studies“, can we read on a online petition. Addressed to the Rhône prefecture, it has already gathered more than 19,000 signatures.
