The Cure will perform in Prague in October 2022, and will also bring The Twilight Sad
The British band The Cure has announced plans for 2022. In addition to the previously announced two albums, which will finally be released after eighteen years, the main focus will be touring. This will apply especially to Europe, where a tour with forty-four dates is ready. And one of the stops will be Prague’s O2 arena, where the form will arrive on October 24. And she won’t be alone, The Twilight Sad will be the host. The legendary formation was formed in 1976. Its catalog is filled with thirteen studio albums and several dozen singles. The current line-up consists of Robert Smith (vocals and guitar), Jason Cooper (drums), Roger O’donnell (keyboards), Reeves Gabrels (guitar) and probably also Simon Gallup (bass guitar), who some time ago indicated his departure, but after denied for a few weeks. The band will return to the Czech Republic three years after performing at Colors of Ostrava, the last concert in Prague took place at the end of 2016. The tour will start on October 6 in Latvia, the end is scheduled for December 11 at Wembley. They will take Scottish post-punks The Twilight Sad with them as support. They last reminded the audience in 2019 of the critically acclaimed album “It Won’t Be Like This All the Time”. They last played in The Czech Republic with The Cure five years ago. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, December 9.
