Retail – Frankfurt am Main – Now only with 2G for shopping in Hessen – Economy
Frankfurt / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) – The new corona regulations in Hesse came into force on Sunday, but an innovation will be felt for the majority of Hessians when the shops open on Monday. With the 2G rule in retail, only vaccinated and convalescent people are allowed to enter the shops. Only basic supply shops are exempt from this regulation, including, for example, grocery stores and supermarkets, pharmacies, medical supply stores or drug stores. Bookshops, flower shops, animal feed markets, DIY superstores and garden centers for post offices, banks, savings banks, petrol stations, laundries and similar facilities are also considered to be basic utilities.
Customers who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons are granted access if they can provide a medical certificate. If unvaccinated customers are let in despite the 2G model, when & both the retailer and the customer expect a fine.
The Hessian Trade Association had criticized the nationwide 2G regulation in retail. Checking customers also means a tremendous amount of effort – right in the middle of the Christmas business, which is so important for the industry.
