Orenburg resident accused of embezzling 58 million rubles detained in Belarus Belarus
A fraudster from Orenburg, who stole more than 58 million rubles in the sale of apartments, was found and detained in another state. He was put on the international wanted list and caught in Belarus Belarus.
The 40-year-old resident of Orenburg was the director of a company that sold apartments. He signed contracts with the buyers of the assignment of rights to the apartment. At the same time, he sold 16 apartments, and appropriated the money.
– The attacker did not deposit the funds received either to the cashier’s office or to the organization’s current account, but appropriated it. Thus, the man sold 16 apartments, as well as an excavator. The damage caused to the limited liability company amounted to more than 58,000,000 rubles, the press service of the regional UMVD reports.
A criminal case was opened against the director under the article “Misappropriation or embezzlement”. But the accused managed to hide outside Russia. He was put on the international wanted list.
As a result of prompt actions, the swindler was detained in Belarus. Now the question of his extradition to Russia is being decided. Here the trial awaits him. The maximum punishment under the article of the charge is up to 10 years in prison.
