Final vote, with the protest of the opposition, for the modification of the pension system in the Republic of Moldova
Before the report was presented by the chairman of the Commission for Social Protection, Health and Family, Dan Perciun, who is also the author of the initiative, the parliamentary opposition of the tribune bloc. The deputies from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists and those from the Şor Party came out in front with placards and chanted: “Shame!”. The vice-president of the Parliament, the socialist Vlad Batrîncea, declared that the subject is too important to be debated today. He called for the project to be withdrawn from the agenda and submitted to genuine public consultation.
“We must not turn Parliament into a voting machine. We remind you that in the first reading you voted for this project at night, that is why it respectfully demands that this subject be eliminated “, said Vlad Batrîncea.
In reply, the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, stated that the approach regarding the exclusion of the project from the agenda had already been put to the vote, but the proposal was not supported.
Dan Perciun presented the report of the Commission on the spot, against the background of the chants: “Shame!”. 53 PAS deputies voted for the legislative initiative.
Thus, from January 1, 2022, the standard retirement age for men will be 63 years. For women of retirement age it will gradually increase to 63 years. On 1 January 2022 it will be 59 years and 6 months, increasing by 6 months each year, until 2028. The right to receive an early retirement pension for the lungs of persons who take care of the contributory contribution period than the one provided . in law – five years for men and three years for women. Another regulation concerns the revision of pension indexation formulas. The indexation will be done once a year, on April 1. There is also a coefficient of increase in pensions, amounting to 50% of the real economic growth for the previous year, which takes care of the way it will be granted on April 1, in a fixed amount.
