In just a few minutes, the crane carries the fighter on a belt like a feather and places it on the fence of the complex, just as a few moments later both wings of the plane land there. Everything is done in less than half an hour, when people with a feeling of well-done work leave for Sunday lunch.

In just a few days, the local enthusiasts will re-launch a team of assembling, repairing, modifying and conserving the fighters.
“We will move the machine to the museum premises next year, sometimes at the beginning of the season. It will stand in our MiG alley. We already have the MiG 21F, MiG 21MF, MiG 19 and MiG 15. This MiG 23 MF is the most modern of all we have. We received it for a long-term loan from LOM Praha and we are rightly proud of it, ”explains Martin Hrabec.

The Czechoslovak People’s Army took over the MiG 23 MF brought from Prague to Kunovice on December 3, 1979. It served until the mid-1990s. It was a very powerful fighter with variable wing geometry, the so-called 3rd generation aircraft – one of the best aircraft in its category in the world. He ended his active death at the air base in Žatec.
