Prague – Outdoor ice rinks are now opening at various locations in Prague. Some started operating at the end of November, others are still waiting to be opened. Already now, people can skate, for example, on the ice rink on Střelecký Island, where they prepared the ice rink for the first time, or in Smíchov. People can skate for free on the ice rink at the Hvězda park in Prague 6 or at Letná. This follows from information provided by district spokesmen and from information on social networks and websites of ice rink operators. On the rink, according to government measures may be adults who are vaccinated against covid-19 or have recently suffered from the disease. Admission is also restricted for children by government regulations.
According to Martin Šalek, a spokesman for the town hall, there are three public ice rinks in operation in Prague 8. This winter, people can skate at the Glowacký school in Bohnice, in the area of the Ládví swimming pool or in Liben near the Löwit mill. According to information on Facebook, you can skate in Ládví from 13:00 to 19:00 on weekdays, and it is open from 9:00 on weekends. Admission is 49 crowns for people over the age of six. The ice rink at Löwit’s Mill is open from 9:00 to 20:00 and the all-day entrance fee costs 60 crowns, as stated in web operator.
According to its spokesman Martin Šebesta, the first part of the city opened a new ice rink on Střelecký Island at the beginning of December. Young and old athletes can come ice skating from 14:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 21:00 on weekends. According to Prague spokesman Vít Hofman, two ice rinks await skaters, which are open daily from 9:00 to 21:00. The main ice rink has dimensions of 40 by 20 meters, the smaller one, designed especially for children, is 20 by 10 meters. People can also look forward to evening skating, heated facilities or refreshments.
