The development of a Hungarian company is also a solution to the global container shortage
Container shortages can also be a solution
Continest Technologies Zrt., Which is 100% Hungarian-owned, has been developing and manufacturing collapsible containers since 2017. The company started its factory in Székesfehérvár in August and has been running continuously ever since.
With innovative solutions, Continest is developing a modular, collapsible container that, with its ease of transport and practicality, is a great help for a variety of events, but can also be used in the healthcare, defense and military industries if required. The company’s products have proven themselves in many areas and countries since their inception, including Continest containers in more than 15 countries.
The containers are also unique in the world because they have a unique design and can be folded – so many more containers can be transported at the same time than traditional rigid containers. Thus, emissions from transportation as well as logistics can be reduced by up to 80 costs.
The company focuses on the healthcare industry, the defense industry, the event industry and current4 “urban” services. Containers include power supply, solar and battery systems, water block units, and a laboratory unit from medical containers , or even a ward can be set up.
Electric fleet on the roads of Budapest and Prague
GreenGo is the only carsharing service provider in Budapest with a fully electric fleet. It started its service in Budapest in November 2016, and in early 2020 they also appeared in Prague. According to their public report, in 2020 they had a turnover of more than HUF 553 million.
A form of transport based on carsharing sharing, short central car rental so that the driver can enjoy all the benefits of driving with the least burden on the environment. it only pays as much as it uses and does not pollute its residence or its environment with noise or emissions. Moreover, since it uses a shared car, it does not burden the city with newer vehicles either.
The company announced in November that its fleet of 320 electric cars will be upgraded and expanded. The purchase of new vehicles was justified by customer needs, because more and more people want to rent a car outside Budapest, even for several days on rural roads. Smaller-range cars can cover up to 120 kilometers, and longer-range models do not double that.
With an electric bike in everyday life
Hellovelo also offers a unique, sustainable solution to urban transport challenges. The 100% Hungarian-owned fleet manager has set a goal to make cycling more popular in Hungary than at present. To this end, it provides state-of-the-art premium electric bicycles as a corporate product for a fixed monthly fee, with a full range of operating services, on-site service, storage and charging facilities and assistance.
Launched in 2020, the company has long-term plans to greatly increase its fleet of currently 50 bicycles, providing it with nationwide capacity and serving customers not only in the capital but also in the countryside.
The fact that from January 1, 2022, it will be possible for companies to provide their employees with free use of electric bicycles for tax purposes, even as a cafeteria element, can increase the desire to ride a bike in Hungary. The cycling can be used not only for leisure but also for commuting to power – they have a minimal footprint to contribute to their own health.
Why are electric bikes green and sustainable?
- their emissions are zero,
- do not burden the road network (unlike electric cars or other four-wheeled electric vehicles)
- Properly regulated in TRAFFIC
- some companies produce in Hungary, Miskolc and Tszeg, thus supporting the local economy
They also provide a “service box” for each of their customers, which contains the tools and mounting materials needed for the day-to-day use and maintenance of the bike. With the help of their innovative, self-developed application, they can provide continuous assistance to bicycle users.
In addition to the listed companies, several other exhibitors are waiting for visitors at Planet Budapest 2021. The media sponsor of the event is Portfolio.
