On the ‘hidden’ traces of ancient Pisa, participants will make a journey through time from its origins to the modern era, tracing the archaeological finds still visible in the city. It will be possible to rediscover the remains of the Roman colony and medieval Pisa together starting from the Piazza del Duomo. What if they told you that Pisa looks a bit like Paris? Do you know why even the walls in Pisa are not so straight? Or where can you find an ancient “spa” in the city center? We will also go in search of what remains of ancient architecture and we will find them in unusual places crossing Piazza Cavalieri, walking along Borgo Stretto and finally arriving on the Lungarno, the water that gave life to Pisa.
Meeting point: Piazza Duomo 7 at the tourist office of the municipality of Pisa. Meeting: 10 minutes before the tour departure.
