EC RB Salzburg celebrates home success against Tiroler Haie
After the unnecessary defeat at home on Friday against newcomer HC Pustertal, Salzburg’s runners cracks will return to the fast lane on Sunday. In an all-clear quick game, Paul Huber and Peter Schneider provided a tailor-made start and set a 2-0 lead. Even the third trick would have been possible in the entry third, but Florian Baltram only narrowly missed.
Thanks to offensive fireworks back on Siegerstrasse ????????? ????: Schneider (2), Paul Huber, Nissner, Järvinen, Raffl. _____ #GoRedBulls #UnitedByPassion #RBSvsHCI

Schlendrian in the middle third
As is so often the case, the bull engine stalled a bit in the third two. Although Salzburg continued to hold the trumpet in the second 20 minutes and set the tone, the goals against Tyrol were bitter. At least in the offensive they showed themselves from the more consistent side, after the 2-1 connection by Antonin Boruta (25th) provided the parade line to Peter Schneider (30th) and Benjamin Nissner (32nd) with a double strike Expansion of the lead and screwed to 4: 1. Salzburg let the guests play and again made it unnecessarily exciting. Even before the second tea break, ex-bull Nico Feldner bit to 4: 2 (35th) and Daniel Leavens to 4: 3 (39th). It wasn’t boring either.
Dream line makes for home threesomes
In particular, the storm line around two goalscorers Peter Schneider, Benjamin Nissner and captain Thomas Raffl could not be stopped that evening: “This line made the difference today”, praised trainer Matt McIlvane the actors addressed and was still happy about the many hits of his Team that showed the perfect reaction after the home defeat against Pustertal on Friday. The Salzburgers were not deterred by hungry Tyroleans and continued to play without much frills, which resulted in the decision. After Jan-Mikael Järvinen wrote the 5: 3 (44th), leader Thomas Raffl fixed the 6: 3 final score in the Volksgarten after Benjamin Nissner’s sugar pass.
Salzburg Festival third place
With the win in the West Derby against HC Innsbruck, the Bulls consolidated third place in the table of the domestic ice hockey league, only Fehervar and Leader Laibach are better than the Mozartstädter in the current season. In the coming week, Salzburg will have a little more time than usual, the next point fights will not take place until Friday, when HC Orli Znojmo will hand in their business card on the Salzach.
