DIJON: Geeks and cosplayers at the rendezvous of the first edition of Kamo Play
The event organized at the exhibition center continues this Sunday, December 5.
Since 2016, the Dijon association Kamo Event has ensured that the Kamo Con acquires a reputation. A few years ago, the Kamo Play was only the name of a space dedicated to the geek universe, science fiction, science, new technologies and video games.
This year, the Kamo Play becomes a show in its own right. The event is being developed this weekend of December 4 and 5, 2021 at the Dijon exhibition center. “We wanted to go a little further in certain themes and we lacked space on the Kamo Con”, explains Cyrille Alviset, volunteer within the Kamo Event association, among the sixty or so active forces working for the smooth running of the event. the demonstration.
On the second floor, above the Poincaré entrance, visitors are immersed in a large universe with multiple fans and facets. Cosplay is obviously required in such an atmosphere and this tradition adds a certain pledge to the convention where many enthusiasts met this Saturday, December 4, 2021. Infos-Dijon was in the aisles of the show to attest to a first edition rather well launched.
The event can accommodate 10,000 visitors over the entire weekend. The organizers initially expect to approach a total of 5,000 people, perhaps less.
If the expected attendance has been attenuated by the latest government announcements concerning the health context, this first Kamo Play certainly calls for others. It remains this Sunday, December 5 to take advantage, the doors being open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for this second day. All practical information can be found on the event website, by clicking here.
Kamo Con is already scheduled for May 21 and 22, 2022. It will be dedicated to Asian culture and heroic fantasy.
