Weekend in Annecy, the “Venice of the Alps” – Le Journal du week-end
Don’t you find her glamorous, romantic, sporty? Annecy indeed held praise from around the world. Our weekend here begins by bike. This is not immediately obvious, but contemporary art is gradually finding its place in the city. Our first must-see is in the old town. This is the Palace of the Island. Listed as a historical monument, it has now become an exhibition space on the architecture and heritage of Annecy. With its arcaded streets, the old town has always been a place of commerce and trade, especially for food. The market is set up three times a week, the opportunity to meet great people and learn anecdotes about the history of the neighborhood. And what would the “Venice of the Alps” be without its majestic lake. Here we meet Cyril Puccia, the last marine carpenter in the region. Lover of old boats, he does not go unnoticed. We then head back to town for a snack with Philippe Rigollot, best worker in France, who suggests we taste Savoy cake with hot chocolate. What about the good plans for a successful weekend in this amazing city? TF1 | Report Y. Matisse, F. Marchand, J. Chaize
