Toulouse. The end-of-year celebrations for seniors
The festivities resume for seniors at the end of the year 2021. The City of Toulouse is organizing 7 festive days at the Pierre Baudis convention center.
In the health context, 5,000 seniors have registered for this program from Saturday 4 to Saturday 11 December. They attend a Christmas show on the theme “The sixties”, from rock to yéyé and enjoy a festive meal produced by the Municipal Central Kitchen.
They will have to present their health pass, wear a mask. Hydroalcoholic gel will be available to them at the entrance and at the tables. The room will be ventilated for 10 minutes every 1h30. The late afternoon ball has been canceled and will be replaced by a musical atmosphere for seniors who wish to extend this convivial moment.
13,000 parcels from producers in the region
In addition, the City of Toulouse will offer 13,000 packages that will come from producers in the region. 9,300 “gourmet menus” packages will be distributed to members of senior associative clubs and some partner associations as well as to single seniors registered with the Allô Seniors service.
3,500 “sweet” packages will be offered to residents of CCAS institutions for the elderly, private retirement homes and elderly people who are hospitalized for long stays. Finally, 200 “gourmet menus with supplement” packages will go to Toulouse seniors in a precarious situation who have received a social assessment carried out by the social worker of the Seniors Town Hall.
Parcels will be delivered before the holidays, directly to the premises of senior clubs, CCAS establishments, private retirement homes, hospital services and at home for the most vulnerable seniors.
