The second Advent candle in Debrecen will be lit on Sunday
The program begins at four o’clock in the afternoon at the Memorial Garden.
The second candle of the city’s Advent wreath was received on Sunday (December 5, 2021) by Deputy Mayor István Puskás, Pastor Richárd Asztalos, Lutheran Director of the Lutheran Parish of Debrecen, and Barnabás Sipos, Parish of the Hungarian Orthodox Parish of Debrecen Facebook page.
The program begins at 4 p.m. with a nativity play by Sigismund the Beautiful and his company, followed by a performance by the parents ’choir of the Sunflower Waldorf Elementary School. The candlelight, which starts at 5pm, will be broadcast live on the community site.
