Seaside resorts united from Pisa to Grosseto – Chronicle

Sugar Mizzy December 4, 2021

Alberto Nencetti, from Checinese, provincial president of Livorno of Sib Confcommercio

Virtually half of the tourist presences in Tuscany are the result of the beaches in the province of Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto. There is talk of millions of admissions. Virtually half of the tourist presences in Tuscany are the result of the beaches in the province of Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto. There is talk of millions of admissions. A driving force for the entire regional economy. And in light of the news on state-owned concessions (with reassignment by tender in 2023), operators are worried. For this reason, the Italian seaside unions of the three provinces organize a meeting on Monday 6 December at 11 at the municipal theater of Cecina ‘De Filippo’. There will also be the national president Antonio Capacchione at the plenary assembly of the SIB Confcommercio seaside resorts organized jointly by the unions of Livorno, Pisa and Grosseto. At the Eduardo De Filippo Theater in via Gian Battista Vico in Cecina he will take stock of the actions to be taken to protect seaside businesses after the recent sentence of the Council of State which canceled the extension to 2033 of state-owned maritime concessions and imposed the reassignment through public tenders by December 2023.

“We expect many operators in our sector who – remember the provincial president of Livorno Sib Confcommercio Alberto Nencetti – are owners of family micro businesses. In addition to our national president Antonio Capacchione, the regional president of Tuscany Stefania Frandi will speak, we presidents will speak provincials of Livorno, Pisa and Grosseto: me with Daniele Avvento and Fabrizio Fontani “.

“We also invited – continues Nencetti – the municipal, regional and national administrators linked to the municipalities interested in bathing. They all confirmed, knowing well the importance of the sea economy for the 400 km of coastline that cross our provinces. The Municipality of Cecina sponsored the initiative, and Samuele Lippi will bring greetings from the administration and the city, but other mayors and parliamentarians present will also intervene “. The director of Confcommercio Grosseto Gabriella Orlando and the director of the two Confcommercio of Livorno and Pisa Federico Pieragnoli will be moderators of the meeting. “The appeal against the sentence of the Council of State – concludes Nencetti – has already been announced by Capacchione; the stages will be illustrated to the Assembly”.
