Finally there is the date for the association agreement with the European Union. It will be the second half of 2023 to indicate the epochal turning point, when San Marino, Andorra and Monaco will join the EU. This is what is shown by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament. The commissioners of the European People’s Party supported the issue, siding in favor of small states. Now it is clear the will to press the accelerator to get to the French presidency, for the solution with the Iberian one. On the table, when there are two years left to close the negotiation, also the hypothesis of including financial aid, after the criticalities revealed by the pandemic. Meanwhile, financial services, free movement of citizens, non-discrimination on the basis of nationality and the telecommunications side remain among the thorniest issues. Notwithstanding the need to listen to the national parliaments and in particular the citizens of the microstates, through an accurate illustration of the contents of the association agreement. Finally, the issue of vaccinations should be clarified, especially as regards the Titan in relation to the Italian green pass and the difficulties faced in everyday life by students and workers who have to go outside the border.
