Mette Frederiksen – Taken on the peach without a bandage
In Denmark, mouth bandage requirements were again introduced in shops and public transport on Monday, following rising corona infections in all regions.
The rules were proposed by the government on Wednesday last week.
Nevertheless, Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was refreshed on Friday not wearing a face mask, ie five days after the new restrictions came into force.
The Prime Minister was caught on video when she was at the clothing store Thi Thao, which according to Danish BT sells luxury fashion.
The video was published by the Danish newspaper Extra Bladet Saturday morning. According to the newspaper, the recording must have been made around 3pm on Friday.
Too little, too sent
Lies down flat
Shortly after, Frederiksen lay flat in a post on Facebook.
– It was simply an oversight after the new rules were introduced, writes the Prime Minister.
– I know very well that this can happen to anyone, but preferably not me. I apologize, of course, and would like to thank you all once again for what we do together to keep the infection down, she continues.
Risking a fine
By not using a face mask, for example in a shop, you can, according to the Danish prosecuting authority, risk a fine of DKK 2,500.
In the first instance, it is the store’s responsibility to enforce this. Ekstra Bladet has been in contact with the current store, which does not want to comment.
