One of the positive surprises in the Regionalliga Tirol in autumn 2021 was definitely the young kicker of the FC Wacker Innsbruck II. Coach Masaki Morass helped out in the finish in the KMI and thus in the 2nd division, but has now returned to the KMII. He will continue to pursue the goal of further developing the players and that begins at Wacker with the third combat team, the Wacker Juniors.

Positive and negative highlights in autumn 2021?

Masaki Morass, coach FC Wacker Innsbruck II: “As the second combat team with an average age of twenty in the Regionalliga, it is important that we continue to work on the continuous development of our players. Therefore, we do not want to name any result-related highlights. We are pleased that several KMII players trained with the professionals in autumn, were in the second division of the matchday squad of the fighting team and were also used in the games! “

Have the intended goals been achieved?

Masaki Morass: “Targets were exceeded. We’re still the youngest team in the league. The goal of introducing many young players to adult football has definitely been achieved. In August we expected about ten players to make their debut in the Regionalliga, in the end fourteen players made it. “

What are the goals for spring 2022?

Masaki Morass: “As in the summer of 2021, we are not setting ourselves any competition-oriented goals. Our aim is still to introduce young players to adult football or football in the regional league. In addition, players from the third combat team (FC Wacker Innsbruck Juniors) are increasingly being integrated into the KMII’s training operations. This permeability from the third to the first combat team via the second KM is an important component of our club so that our players can develop progressively. “

Are there already fixed changes in the squad, are reinforcements being considered in winter, in which positions?

Masaki Morass: “A fixed departure with Alvin Husic (SV Wörgl), further departures are possible. Reinforcements in winter are currently not planned. “

What are the effects of the corona pandemic or the renewed aggravation of the situation with the 4th wave?

Masaki Morass: “Like all other teams in the regional league, the second KM cannot hold team training due to the renewed tightening. Hopefully it will be possible again from January 2022! “

Favorite titles in your league?

Masaki Morass: “SC Schwaz!”

Will the national team make it to the World Cup finals in Qatar?

Masaki Morass: “Hopefully!”
