Did you try Baba Ghanoush’s Arabic brunch?
Brunch has landed in Athens in recent years. In every neighborhood there is a shop that has added to its menu a Croque Madame, an omelette with egg whites and a bun with avocado smash and poached egg. We are very happy to honor them properly but with even greater joy we welcome the new-different proposals. So today we will travel you to the thousand and oneā¦ flavors of the Arabic breakfast, by Baba Ghanoush!
The favorite falafel restaurant of Pagrati with the super-salads, the most delicious and fragrant chickpea meatballs in pie and the authentic hot joy, now serves breakfast. Every day (except Monday) from 09:00 to 15:00 we find rich dishes with Mediterranean ingredients. The classic brunch includes two organic eggs, beans (legumes of the East), handmade Arabic lambne cheese, grilled halloumi, buffalo milk cream, olives, honey or jam and hot Arabic pie.
It is worth trying the Saksuka eggs, which you could also christen in Arabic “kayana”. These are two organic eggs baked in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce, with handmade Arabic cheese melted and accompanied by freshly baked Arabic pie for long dips in the sauce.
In open sandwich with wholemeal bread there are options with or without egg and vegan proposals such as open sandwich with avocado, tall cherry tomatoes or hummus, cucumber, radish and alfalfa (the Asian superfood that circulates in sprouts or powder for smoothies).
In the vegetarian philosophy you will also find Arabic porridge with almond milk, oats, chia seeds, nuts, fresh fruit and agave syrup and smoothie with dates and tahini.
Light and delicate semolina crepes with hot agave syrup, cream and garnish with fresh are definitely one of the different flavors you should try.
The Arabic breakfast is traditionally accompanied by plenty of Moroccan tea with mint. But if you are a coffee lover, Baba Ghanoush chose for you creamy and aromatic specialty coffee.
