City poet Seckou Ouologuem comes with a new city poet project ‘City green’. Wants to collect Seckou from city residents about patches of green in the City.
As a city poet, Seckou wants to tell and share as many stories of the city as possible. And preferably not alone, but with all Antwerpers. This also applies to his latest project ‘adsgreen’. “I need all Antwerp residents to honor and share the green spaces that give them peace and oxygen. That can be a beautiful flower that shoots out of your facade, or a large forest in which you can get lost,” explains Seckou.
The city poet will link city dwellers who want to share their favorite piece of greenery to a climate poet. ‘Klimaatdichters’ is a movement of word artists who use poetry as a weapon of war for a climate-friendly world.
The city dweller and climate poet who ground together, meet on the spot and return home – hopefully – focused. The climate poet then writes a unique poem on it. The result of all these collaborations will be reflected in a digital story map of Antwerp that will be presented by Seckou at the end of January.
