Will there be snow on the holidays?
For the second time in a row, people who are dying have to celebrate Christmas under Corona conditions this year, and then at least many would like to finally have a white Christmas again. But that remains just a wish after the booth. Because 20 days before Christmas Eve it doesn’t look like icy temperatures and snowfall at the moment.
Probability is less than 10 percent
On the contrary. According to meteorologist Dominik Jung, the chances of a white Christmas below 500 meters are currently only a maximum of ten percent. In the coming week there will be a weather situation with milder temperatures, possibly with the potential for new winter storms, explains the expert from the weather service Q-Met. The warmer air mass will probably only slowly noticeable in the Hanover region from Wednesday. Until then, the maximum values are only just above freezing point.
Anyone who has to be out at night or early in the morning should be careful. Because the temperatures can then drop below zero degrees, which means smooth roads and paths.
But the weather is a chaotic system, a lot can still change up to Christmas week. Who knows, maybe it’ll get really cold after all. And when there is humid air …
According to the meteorologists, there was a really snowy Christmas party in the Hanover region for the last time in 2010. At that time, 28 centimeters of snow were measured.
