Unemployment rose slightly in November – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – At the Labor Market Service Liechtenstein (AMS FL), 320 unemployed people were registered at the end of November, 15 more than in the previous month. The unemployment rate rose from 1.5 percent in October to 1.6 percent in the month under review. Compared to the same month last year, unemployment fell by 41 people (minus 11.4 percent). The unemployment rate fell by 11.4 percentage points compared to the same month last year.
The youth unemployment rate (15 to 24 year olds) fell by 1 person (minus 3.1 percent) to 31 in the same period, writes the Department of Economics (AVW) in a broadcast. Compared to the same month last year, a decrease of 4 people died (minus 11.4 percent). The youth unemployment rate is 1.4 percent. Compared to the same month last year, this decreased by 0.2 percentage points.
Slight increase in the elderly
In the age group from 25 to 49 years, unemployment died by 14 people (plus 8.2 percent) to 184. This corresponds to a rate of 1.7 percent (previous month 1.6 percent). In the 50 plus age group, unemployment rises by 2 people (plus 1.9 percent) to 105. The rate remains at 1.4 percent.
At the end of November, 85 people were doing interim earnings. Compared to the previous month, this number has decreased by three people. Compared to the same month last year, a decrease of 21 people dies (minus 19.8 percent). As interim earnings from gilded AVW income from self-employed or employed work, EVERY INCOME FROM UNEMPLOYMENT DAY WILL BE USED OR WITHDRAWN.
The number of accesses to AMS FL in the month under review is 55 people. This corresponds to 6 people (minus 9.8 percent) fewer than in the previous month. The number of departures is believed to be 52 people. That is 3 people (minus 5.5 percent) less than in the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, this corresponds to a reduction of 20 people (minus 27.8 percent).
Almost 900 vacancies
According to the announcement, the number of jobs registered with AMS FL is 898 compared to 934 in the previous month (minus 3.9 percent). Compared to the same month last year, 112 jobs (14.2 percent) more were reported.
By the reporting month, 885 companies had registered a right to short-time work compensation due to the corona pandemic. The effective disbursements of short-time work allowances in the event of persistent stress. The use of short-time work compensation under the regulation is still possible until the end of December. According to the AVW, however, an extension by a further three months is planned.
