Toulouse: with more than 2,000 euros in their tank, they try to leave without paying
Like nothing ever happened. Two 18-year-old girls set off on Monday, November 29, in a supermarket in the Purpan district of Toulouse to hope to steal an entire caddy of items … without paying. Their plan was developed and in three points explains Toulouse news.
The first step was to fill a cart with groceries by pretending that they were bent on a charitable fundraising intended to cover the annual needs of the association of Restos du cœur. They therefore wanted to degrade mainly clothing and cosmetics. The second stage of analysis if a checkout was located of personnel in order to raise the barrier, the franchisor casually and thus sneak towards the exit of the supermarket.
A caddy which contained 2,140 euros of products
Fortunately, the two young girls did not have time to apply the third and final step. They simply have to leave the shopping arcade as quickly as possible, hoping not to be caught by the patrol. The mission failed. Intercepted by security, who observed their actions, they were immediately arrested.
After verification, the caddy contained 2,140 euros of products, including 1,800 euros of clothing. A police source also indicated that “only ten euros of food” had been placed in the cart. The two suspected thieves were brought back to the police station and taken into police custody.
