The police officers in Prague-Libuš have a new service room with a training room

Five police officers will serve on duty and their number will increase to 13 from January. The costs were approximately 14.83 million crowns and the town hall for additional money from the municipality. The city police establishes the capital and employs about two thousand people.

“Historically, there was a family house that served as a service for the city police, but the conditions for police officers were not suitable. We decided to demolish and build a new office. We wanted a building that meets the highest demands on the activities of city police officers and at the same time the building fits into the character of the place where it is located, “said Libuše Mayor Jiří Koubek (TOP 09).

The main building has a gabled roof corresponding to the character and the lower side extension has an ecological green roof. In addition to the operating center, the service room includes facilities for relaxation and refreshments in the attic, including a kitchen, and there is also a training room. “The building is equipped with air conditioning, air conditioning and due to energy savings, some attic rooms such as toilets have light guides,” added the mayor.

The city police employ about 2,100 people. Its budget is around two billion crowns a year. The city police have long struggled with a shortage of police officers. In recent years, therefore, it has changed its recruitment policy and introduced a number of benefits. For those interested in working for the city police, its management has, for example, a contribution for transport, housing or food and an increased risk surcharge.
