Russia may sign a memorandum with China on control over the safety of fish products – Economy and business

MOSCOW, December 3. / TASS /. The Russian Federation can sign a memorandum with China on the control of the safety of aquatic biological resources – without the COVID virus for the supply of packaged fish products to the PRC. This is stated in the message of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

One of them could be the signing of a memorandum regulating control over the absence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA on the packaging of Russian fish products sent to China, “the message says.

As explained in the Rosselkhoznadzor, on December 2, in the format of a videoconference, negotiations were held between the Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Konstantin Savenkov and the head of the Bureau for Control of Safety of Imported and Exported Food Products of the Main Customs Directorate of the PRC Bi Kesin. According to Savenkov, Russia is interested in the soonest restoration of the previous methods of fish production and direct methods of delivery to China. This issue is of high priority.

Also, an increase in the level of traceability and efficiency of control processes will be the transition to electronic veterinary certificates. Rosselkhoznadzor proposed to intensify this work and complete it as soon as possible. Among the specific list of Chinese ports, which can be resumed, the supply of fish bilge shipments.

On the rules of food product labeling introduced by the PRC

One of the important topics of the dialogue was also the new requirements of China for imported food that will come into force on January 1, 2022.

Vasily Sokolov, deputy head of the Federal Agency for Fishery, identified the designated Russian fishing industry with difficult rules for marking the outer and inner parts of product packaging.

Various options were proposed for resolving this issue, including the maintenance of electronic documents in the new health certificate, the Rosselkhoznadzor noted.
