Kreisliga A Cologne: Who winters on a relegation zone?
In the district league A Cologne, the last game day before the winter break is on Sunday. The relegation battle is close.
To answer at least half of the question from the title directly: The FC Prometheus Italia Porz and the SC Köln-Kalk You can do what you want on Sunday, you will go into the winter break on a relegation zone. Both have ten points and thus four behind the saving bank.
However, the gap is not particularly large, because in general it is in the table cellar District league A Cologne quite tight too. There are still two more relegation places and who will die over Christmas and New Year is currently still open and will only make a final decision on Sunday.
The 14th and 15th place are currently the SV Schlebusch II (14 points) and the SC Rondorf (13). Directly in front of it in ranks eleven to thirteen are the SC Hitdorf (16), SC Holweide (16) and die SV Deutz (14). Theoretically, they could all hibernate, because nobody plays against each other and takes away the points.
Deutz II and Hitdorf have to cope with the most difficult tasks: They play against the as yet undefeated teams of SpVg Rheindörfer (Deutz) and CfB Ford Niehl (Hitdorf). Given the goal difference, one point would be enough for the Hitdorfern to be safely on a non-relegation place, and with the current form with four wins in a row, that does not seem unrealistic. The SC Holweide against the SC Black and White Cologne in the same location.
Deutz WILL, however, deliver when, because that Schlebusch II and Rondorf both non-points is possible, but far from certain. Schlebusch meets them at 12.45 p.m. SpVg Flittard II and would be past Deutz with one counter, which would increase the pressure in the game that starts later. Rondorf, currently without a win for four games, is a guest at Turk Genc SV and definitely needs three points to leave the relegation zone.
