It’s a new concept straight out of the imagination of two young friends from Boulogne-sur-Mer, Marceau and Gaspard. For last Christmas they created Fir & Go. A service of home delivery of fir trees. The particularity ? The delivery men arrive disguised as leprechauns ! We tell you more about this concept which is back in 2021.
Maubeuge firs
At 19, the two Boulonnais surprised everyone with this unusual but very useful service in the midst of the Covid period. The customer has nothing to do and does not move from home! “On the tree delivered, on the installed and on the collection after the holidays”, explains Marceau. In January, the Sapin & Go teams collect the Christmas trees and grind them.
“All organic materials are redistributed to town halls and businesses in the sector,” he explains. The trees are obviously natural and supplied by an arborist based in Louvroil, near Maubeuge.
Sapin & Go delivers throughout the Opal Coast, between Berck and Dunkirk. “We plan to develop in the rest of the department,” says Marceau. The young man assures her: “On a huge number of requests. Unfortunately, we cannot meet all of them. ”
Marceau and Gaspard are very young and continue their studies at the same time. They therefore work “only” from Friday to Sunday. “We want to do things well, but it is not to overload ourselves and deliver in a hurry,” he insists.
Participate in the magic of Christmas
The two friends want to take their time and stand out by delivering the trees disguised as leprechauns. “We want to participate in this Christmas magic and we manage to arrive when the children are there. They even collect the letters to Santa Claus! “It’s a hit with the little ones and their parents are delighted”, rejoices the Boulonnais.
The service had performed well last winter with 200 sales in total. “We will be on the same basis this year,” he confides. Ready to give in to temptation?
