“I am emotional and suspicious” | Miss France 2022

Sugar Mizzy December 3, 2021

Miss France 2022 contest. Paris Match interviewed Donatella Meden, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2021. The 21-year-old young woman is one of the 29 candidates who will aspire to the crown on December 11.

Paris Match. Where did you grow up ?
Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais Donatella Meden. I grew up in Lille in the North, but I also lived a small part of my childhood in Croatia with my grandparents.

Tell us about your region: why are you proud to represent it?
I am proud to represent my region because it represents the hospitality, the welcome, the warmth of its inhabitants, their simplicity also and their authenticity. It is a region which also saw the birth of three formidable Miss France, including one which became Miss Universe. I am extremely proud to have them as examples.

What studies are you pursuing and what profession do you dream of doing?
I am in the third year of a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communication in luxury and fashion at the ISG Luxury Managemant school in Lille. I dream of becoming a brand manager.

What are your passions ?
Swimming, history, travel, music, cinema and cooking.

How did your relatives react when you announced that you had entered a Misses contest?
They reacted very well, it’s even what motivated me to pursue my dream. They are very proud of me and are very excited to see me blossom in this great adventure that is Miss France.

Why would you like to become Miss France?
I want to become Miss France to highlight the woman, her, her oral power, her strength to be heard and elegant, also to go and meet all French people and be able to give the opportunity to certain women to identify themselves. to me. It would be a great opportunity for me to highlight and promote causes such as the fight against violence against women. It also allows me to go beyond, to live something that will make me grow, to experience extraordinary things and to create memories that I could relate to my children later.

To have : Miss France 2022: here are the official photos of the 29 candidates

According to you, what is the role of Miss France in society today?
Beyond the physical, Miss France embodies the one who inspires the French. She has met her region in advance, but above all the whole of France, she has a voice, a word that can be sacred and important, she can convey values and ideas that can mobilize the French and revolutionize indirect society.

“Iris Mittenaere has reached the top in my opinion”

Which Miss France has marked you and why?
Undoubtedly Iris Mittenaere for her exemplary career in its entirety, she reached the top in my opinion. She is also a very simple, natural and humble person, and she is a Ch’ti!

Beauty pageants are often related to the image of the woman they convey. What do you think ?
I believe that everyone has the right to have their opinion and to express their opinions. However, I think that beauty contests allow a woman to be highlighted, especially after her evolution. After all, true feminism is one that accepts that women are free to do what they want to do, which is to go to a competition like Miss France without criticizing them and pointing fingers for their choices. Candidates are not judged only by their physique but also by their personality, their life course, their eloquence, their culture and intelligence, the beauty of their heart, their inner core, but also the values and causes they want. put forward and for which they will invest. The problem does not come from the competition or the candidates, but from the perception and behavior that some people have of this competition and towards these candidates.

What makes you different from other candidates? What is your strong point?
What differentiates me would be my motivation and my determination, but also my authenticity and my naturalness.

What are your faults ?
I am quite emotional and suspicious.

What cause in particular do you want to defend?
As said before, I want to highlight the fight against violence and injustices against women, but also against inequalities, the fight against child abuse and the fight to ensure education and safety for children around the world. .

Can you tell us about a significant event in your life?
My meeting with Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic during a sporting event. It was very impressive for me to meet a Head of State, a person who is at the head of a country, of a Republic and who is above all a woman.

Who are your role models, the people who inspire you?
My role models are the women of my family, especially my mother and my grandmothers: they represent femininity, generosity, dedication and strength, they are my superwomen. I also admire Angelina Jolie for her multi-faceted career, she is a very talented, famous and modern Hollywood actress but also a woman with a big heart, combative and very committed. She is a symbol of this generation.

Are you a heart to take?
No, I am not a heart to take.
