Why will the Toulouse vaccinodrome finally reopen?
The regional health agency finally asked the Toulouse town hall to open the Ramier vaccinodrome. The city, requested for reinforcement by the health authorities, had made available as of last Friday the Daurade vaccination center, and this Thursday the Barcelona room to massively vaccinate Toulouse. Since Saturday, November 27, the booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine has been opened to everyone over 18 years old.
But the provisional device of the ARS was visible a little “light”, the health authorities estimated that the pharmacists and liberal doctors, associated with the device of vaccination, could meet the need. Last Friday the opening of the Ramier vaccinodrome “was not on the agenda”. Decision which surprised many observers. The town hall indicated to keep it “under the foot when needed”. According to our information, earlier this week, the ARS called on the municipality to help. There was an urgent need to reopen the vaccinodrome.
The municipality will therefore rely on the doctors of the community to rearm Hall 8 of the Ramier vaccinodrome; “we are mobilizing by recalling all our contracts, temporary contracts, retired doctors, students” explains Jean-Luc Moudenc who recalls “we are not decision-makers, we do not have the doses, we are under the authority of health officials”. Hall 8 will only reopen in a few days by car “it was the largest vaccinodrome in the country so it requires considerable organization, 600,000 injections have been carried out there” recalls the mayor of Toulouse. The date will be announced soon “the vaccination campaign will take on a much stronger dimension than today”.
