Violence in upbringing: parole
court
Of the serious accusations against a woman from Tennengau who is said to have done her daughter physical and verbal violence for years, little is left in the trial at the Salzburg regional court. The accused was sentenced to four months probation.
The court could not say with certainty whether the required statements of the daughter votes. The mother had originally threatened at least five years in prison. Maximum sentence: 15 years.
The nun imposed four months probation that is already final. The father, who was also accused, was acquitted.
According to the indictment, the woman is said to have done violence to her daughter since she was six years old, verbally abusing her, pinching her and beating her. In addition, the daughter was threatened with killing and serious injuries.
Mother referred to the “state of emergency”
The mother admitted some threats and occasional pinching of the girl on Thursday. They also said, however, that they never hit the child. Threatening her daughter like that was absolutely wrong, she said, and she saw that. But because of the divorce from the children’s father, she is in a state of emergency and completely overwhelmed.
Judgment is expected in the afternoon
In addition, she has a Mediterranean temperament with Turkish roots, said her defense attorney Kurt Jelinek. The prosecution was exaggerated, however, as was the threat of at least five years’ penalty for participating in violence, the lawyer said. The mother of three children did a lot of things wrong, but still loves her children, says Jelinek.
