He has just spent the fortnight of Feasts with his family. But on returning to his apartment on Chalets district, at Christmas 2020, a student from Toulouse experienced a real shock: everything, absolutely everything, had been returned.
Until the basket full of dirty laundry!
Flew them jewelry, some papers identity. Gone are the vacuum cleaner, the iron and the ironing board. Volatilized hotplates (!), the robot-cooker, the Game console, TV. Subtitled forks and knives (but not spoons). Evaporated on sofa (sic), the duvet and the pillows, the curtains, the basket full of dirty laundry, the printer… A carnage.
Alerted, the scientific police immediately coming to take clues. A window had been forced by the burglar. But one detail caught the eye of the tenant: this T-shirt thrown carelessly to the ground did not belong to him. The investigators seized it to analyze.
The bathroom still covered in steam
The next day, the 23-year-old student came back with a locksmith. History to repair the incidents and avoid any new intrusion into this apartment located on the ground floor. More new cold sweats were waiting for him.
When he entered, he discovered, bewildered, that his Internet box had disappeared overnight. And immediately noted that … the bathroom was covered with steam. Proof of very recent use. He alerted the police again.
34-year-old homeless man identified
THE’Right Bank Property Injury Unit (UAB) then grabbed a pair of shoes and bath towels still wet. And since the persevering squatter was not, it seems, the type to spare the glasses by relieving his bladder,DNA could be collected (in sufficient quantity thank you).
The time to extract it, to run it in the national file, a name finally came out. That of a 34-year-old homeless, arrested and placed in police custody Wednesday 1uh December 2021, at the Toulouse police station. He acknowledged the facts and agreed to guilty litigator. All that remains is to define his sentence. And that the student was well assured to me.
