Toulouse: a burglar who had totally robbed a student apartment found thanks to his DNA
A burglar who robbed a student’s apartment last year has been found by the police thanks in part to his DNA.
A year ago, in the Chalets district in Toulouse, the police were called in for a burglary in an apartment. A student says he was away for 15 days and on his return found his home upside down. And on the spot, officials note that many objects have been stolen. Iron, laundry basket, food processor, hob … The ill-intentioned visitor seems to have taken everything in this home.
But during his search, the thief will leave his DNA. Indeed, the day after his burglary, the person would have returned to the scene to simply take a shower leaving behind towels and shoes. The technicians of the technical and scientific police will carry out the usage statements. Thanks to these numerous elements and to the investigations of the unit of attacks on property on the right bank, the police will succeed in tracking him down.
He is a 34-year-old man with no fixed address. The latter was found during a routine check this Wednesday in Toulouse. He was taken into police custody. During his hearing, he admitted to having visited this house. He was summoned to court for comparison on the prior admission of guilt (CRPC).
