Pisa, 2 December 2021 – Il “Rally della Fettunta”, classic winter appointment of the specialty in the upcoming weekend program, will see the young crew of the Squadra Corse Città di Pisa asd at the start composed of Matteo Fichi and Lorenzo Fratta. The duo had already made up at the Rally Città di Pistoia in October where they had touched the podium of the fought and numerous class they belonged to, taking the fourth place in the category.
An intense season for Matteo Fichi who saw him protagonist in numerous races with his Peugeot 106 Rallye which is managed by himself and by his father Fabio who this season has also dictated the notes on many occasions. “I had already raced at Fettunta” says Matteo Fichi and continues “by now it is a classic end-of-season rally the tests, although treacherous, they are demanding and technical, there is no shortage of opponents and return to read me the notes Lorenzo with whom I have already raced recently at Pistoia with which I am fine. The weather conditions at the moment are very uncertain, but this is also a characteristic of rallies that makes it even more fascinating ”.
The event will take place on Sunday 5 December involving the Chianti area starting from the industrial area of Tavernelle in Sambuca with the dispute of the two special stages scheduled for Tignano (Barberino Tavarnelle) and Campoli (San Casciano) to be repeated three times and arrival in the afternoon in Tavarnelle for a total mileage of 148 Km, of which 30.6 Km of timed sections. It promises to be a very compact race and a demanding time where no distractions will be allowed in the same where balanced choices will be made, while the Pisan association is working on the organization of both the award ceremony of the 2021 season (scheduled for January 9), and for the Course Co -Pilots, instead scheduled for February 2022.
