San Marino. The Christmas of Wonders comes alive: the exhibition Bricks on the Titan arrives
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December the historic center of San Marino returns to immerse itself in the magical atmosphere of the Christmas of Wonders, with many fantastic attractions enriched by an “event within an event”, the exhibition Bricks on the Titan scheduled at the Kursaal Congress Center.
Sparkling golden lights and projections underline the charm and uniqueness of the symbolic places of the city, starting from Piazza della Libertà which houses the artistic installation created by Maestro Lunati, to continue with Piazzale Domus Plebis where the comet star stands out.
The tradition of the markets is renewed in via Eugippo and via Donna Felicissima, where the over 30 huts offer a wide choice of gift ideas and delicacies to taste.
There are numerous attractions dedicated to children: the Enchanted Wood in Campo Bruno Reffi, the Elves’ Village in the Ex Skating Area, the futuristic Santa Claus Rocket in the Panoramic Cantone and the traditional Sled in the Galleria della Cassa di Risparmio. The 2021-2022 edition pays homage for the first time to the joyful atmosphere of the circus: the Xmas Circus tent set up in Piazzale Ex Stazione offers shows and microshow.
On Saturday 4th December at the Orti Borghesi, young visitors can try their hand at bow and arrows and experience the thrill of giving. Thanks to the #MARLURICARICAMORE initiative, the Lunghi Archi Association and the San Marino Archery Federation help little archers to hit the mark and make their contribution to a charity initiative for the Pediatric Department of the State Hospital.
Fun for adults and children is guaranteed with the Pista del Ghiaccio, in the evocative setting of Cava dei Balestrieri, the cheerful traveling shows with the bagpipers and the presence, on Saturday, of the Stadust acrobats.
Even LEGO® bricks are ageless. The unmissable event for all fans is with Mattoncini sul Titano at the Kursaal Congress Center, organized by RomagnaLUG and sponsored by the Secretariat of State for Tourism. The initiative officially kicks off with the inauguration ceremony, to which TV and media are invited, scheduled for Saturday 4 December at 13.30, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati. The event opens to the public on Saturday 4th from 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm and Sunday 5th from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm. On display in the elegant and accessible rooms of the Kursaal are fabulous works made with the legendary bricks, inspired by over twenty different themes, including Star Wars, Harry Potter and the Middle Ages. Adjacent to the exhibition is a space dedicated to workshops, where children can devote themselves to colorful creations in complete safety.
Living in relaxation all 13 locations of the Christmas of Wonders is easy. The Polar Express Train connects the P9 covered parking to the upper part of the city and the Panoramic Borgo Maggiore-San Marino cable car runs until 7.30 pm. Furthermore, on the initiative of the Castle Council of the City of San Marino, on Sunday 5th Piazzale Lo stradone becomes a pedestrian area from 2.00 pm to 6.30 pm.
The safety of visitors is a priority, for this reason all the attractions follow the health protocols and the initiatives that take place in environments, such as Xmas Circus and Mattoncini sul Titano, entry according to current regulations, which can be consulted together with the event program on www.visitsanmarino.com.
The Christmas of Wonders “A Fantastic Work” is organized by Euforika with the Artistic Direction of Andrea Prada for the Secretariat of State for Tourism and the Tourist Office of the Republic of San Marino and is also realized thanks to the collaboration and contribution of Cassa di Risparmio, Marlù Gioielli and of all those who are working for the success of the event.
